Stephen J. Silva holds a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Vermont and also has a degree in Marine Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology. He has over 30 years of practical engineering experience. Over the course of his career, his work has taken him to many locations around the world. In his early career, he sailed one tour of duty as a Merchant Mariner with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in the North Atlantic and one tour of duty the Massachusetts Maritime Academy from Buzzards Bay, MA to ports of call in the Mediterranean Sea.
