Dr. Matthew Barnes spent his early years in North Carolina, where he obtained a degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry. He then went on to study alternative and complementary medicine, as well as eastern religion and philosphy. He eventually came to the conclusion that science and religion are not at odds. As Werner Heisenberg once said, “The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you.”
